Team Lucy

It is not just an author and illustrator that make a book a success; there are a number of people behind the scenes that work just as hard, if not harder, to make sure that Lucy and her story get out to as many people as possible.

Team Lucy (some of whom are pictured above with Miss Scotland 2018 and Leigh Milne Magician) are a mixture of family and friends who believe in this cause just as much as those who created it. It consists of people generous enough to give up their time to help a friend when they need it:

​Fred & Lesley Higgins play a vital part in Team Lucy. If you haven’t heard about them, Fred & Lesley’s lives changed in August of last year when their numbers came up on the Euromillions Lottery (£58 Million to be precise) and not only have they, rightfully so, treated themselves to a few essentials, but have dedicated a lot of their money to helping other causes; lucky for us, including Lucy’s Blue Day.

If you are reading this, chances are you have stumbled across us on Social Media; or have contacted us in the past via email and if so, chances are you have spoken with Lisa – Chris’ long-suffering wife. Lisa is, without a doubt, the backbone of Lucy’s Blue Day. She’s the one who liaises with the schools; organises our diaries and responds to emails sent by our customers too! She is the glue that holds this team together!

And the final part of Team Lucy is you. Yes, this is very corny, but it is true. Our book, our story and our vision could never have come to life if it wasn’t for you, so thank you!
