About Us

Our Mission

At Lucy’s Blue Day, we are dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. From a simple book to a robust wellness resource, our goal remains unchanged: to empower children and adults alike to express their feelings and understand that it is perfectly okay to have ‘blue days.’

Together, we are more than just a team; we are a family committed to making a difference, one story at a time. Join us in our mission to bring light to mental health awareness and education.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Story!

The Visionary

Chris Duke

Chris Duke, co-founder, a former radio presenter, party DJ, and a father who has battled mental health challenges, is the creative force behind Lucy’s Blue Day. His personal experiences with post-natal depression and his advocacy for mental health awareness in both children and adults inspired the creation of our book. Chris’s vision is to teach children that it’s okay not to be okay and to encourage open conversations about mental health.

Lisa Duke

Lisa Duke, our co-founder, is truly the backbone of our operations. Handling everything from liaising with schools, organising our schedules, to managing customer emails, Lisa is the glue that holds Team Lucy together. Her dedication and organisational prowess are invaluable. She is also the ever suffering wife of Chris Duke.

Federica Bartolini

Federica, a Graphic and Industrial Designer from Italy, now residing in Bristol, brings a unique blend of creativity and technical skill to our team. With a background in Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography, and Illustration, she is pivotal in visually translating the essence of Lucy’s Blue Day. Her childhood curiosity and love for design have shaped her ability to create engaging and impactful visual content.

Fred & Lesley Higgins

Our story would be incomplete without Fred & Lesley Higgins. After winning £58 million in the Euromillions Lottery, they chose to use a portion of their fortune to support causes close to their heart, including Lucy’s Blue Day. Their generosity has been a cornerstone in our growth and outreach.

Celebrity Endorsements

Stephen Fry to PTWM

Our book has received acclaim from notable figures like Stephen Fry, Jason Manford, WWE’s Kevin Owens and Lorraine Kelly, and support from influencers such as Linzi McLelland (Miss Scotland 2018), Part Time Working Mummy and Louise Pentland. Their endorsements highlight the universal appeal and importance of our message.

You

Last but certainly not least, you, our readers and supporters, are an integral part of Team Lucy. Your belief in our vision and story has enabled us to reach hearts and minds across the UK. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
